Scenario 1: The Lawyer's Performance / El Desempeño del Abogado
"The defendant asks you during a break if you think the lawyer is doing a good job. How do you respond?"
"El acusado le pregunta durante un receso si usted cree que el abogado está haciendo un buen trabajo. ¿Cómo responde usted?"
The Professional Standard / El Estándar Profesional:
English: You must emphasize your Neutrality and Scope of Practice. Your response should always reflect that you are there solely to facilitate communication, not to offer opinions, advice, or comfort.
Español: Debe enfatizar su Neutralidad y Alcance de Práctica. Su respuesta siempre debe reflejar que usted está allí únicamente para facilitar la comunicación, no para ofrecer opiniones, consejos o consuelo.
Scenario 2: The Secret Confession / La Confesión Secreta
"The attorney leaves the room. The defendant whispers: 'I did it, but don't tell the lawyer.'"
"El abogado sale de la habitación. El acusado susurra: 'Yo lo hice, pero no se lo diga al abogado'."
The Professional Standard / El Estándar Profesional:
English: You remain silent. You are bound by confidentiality. If the attorney was not present to hear the statement, you cannot report it. You are a conduit for the record, not an investigator.
Español: Usted permanece en silencio. Está obligado por la confidencialidad. Si el abogado no estuvo presente para escuchar la declaración, usted no puede reportarla. Usted es un conducto para el acta, no un investigador.
Scenario 3: The Vulgar Insult / El Insulto Vulgar
"The defendant screams a vulgar slur at the judge. It is offensive and uncomfortable to repeat."

The Professional Standard / El Estándar Profesional:
English: You must interpret the slur exactly as said. Softening the language is a violation of the record. The judge must see the defendant's true state of mind. You are a mirror, not a filter.
Español: Debe interpretar el insulto exactamente como se dijo. Suavizar el lenguaje es una violación del acta oficial. El juez debe ver el verdadero estado mental del acusado. Usted es un espejo, no un filtro.
Scenario 4: The Family Plea / La Súplica de la Familia
"A family member begs you to explain the judge's ruling because they don't understand the legal jargon."
"Un familiar le ruega que le explique el fallo del juez porque no entienden la jerga legal."
The Professional Standard / El Estándar Profesional:
English: You must decline. Explaining or simplifying a ruling is giving legal advice. You should refer them to the attorney for any clarification on the meaning of the ruling.
Español: Debe negarse. Explicar o simplificar un fallo es dar asesoría legal. Debe remitirlos al abogado para cualquier aclaración sobre el significado del fallo.
