How to Demonstrate Mastery, Neutrality, and Professionalism

A legal interpreter interview is unlike any other. You aren’t just being interviewed for your bilingual skills; you are being evaluated on your ability to remain a "neutral conduit" under intense pressure. 4. Professional Stamina & Regulation

Courtroom drama is emotional. You might interpret for a victim of a graphic crime or a family facing separation. During the interview, show that you have Emotional Regulation.

Explain how you maintain your composure and why accuracy remains your priority, even when the content is offensive, vulgar, or traumatic. A professional interpreter is the "invisible bridge" that does not shake.
